i have an amal valve on my mfi turbo which has an insert in one of the ports about 2mm id. i have a inline switch operating amal and setup the -31 actuator to about 12psi when the amal isnt active. trouble is, with the amal in use i see 20psi wheras im sure it used to see 15psi. only thing changed is the ecu now has a sitech chip. could a chip alone alter the boost level for a given setup or could i have developed an air leak around the amal plumbing? failing that, assuming everything else is in order can i lower the boost via the amal using a different jet/insert? my jet is in the c port. would enlarging slighty drop the boost or increase it? sorry for the essay, im a bit baffled as to how the jets work relative to what port there in? many thanks
Fit the std 2.5mm restrictor in the R port in addition to the one in the C port. That will drop your boost from 20psi to about 16psi. Adjust on actuator if you want any less than 16psi on high boost.

thanks karl. i only have 1 restricter fitted, time to hunt for another. any idea's were i can find the jets or is it time to get some nylon/get my dads lathe warmed up? thanks mate. was wanting no more than 15/16psi so that pointer sounds promising.

chip is a sitec. engine is standard with usual exhaust/cone filter.
right i have fashioned an insert and with amal off, got the usual 12psi. with it active i have brought it down to about 14psi. now time for a setup. will have some nylon or alloy inserts machined up and have a more long term jet solution as per std fitting inserts. thanks fellas.
