Well, got the old girl over to my mate Johns garage and up in the air, not a pretty sight
The last time it was driven was January last year to MADevelopments to check the cam timing, as it was down massively on power at the last rolling road shoot out (all was as it should be thankfully, turns out the GT35 had given up the ghost) but the weather was freezing and there was shit loads of salt on the road :-( No problems structurally, just lots and lots of rubbing down and re-painting required, such as the rear beam, drive shafts, fuel pump cradle, intercooler, all that kind of stuff.
On a lighter note, we measured up the new Tremec gearbox and it looks to be quite an easy fit, looks like it will clear the custom exhaust (thank God), just need to get the prop modded.
John rather optimistically recons we will have it ready for Spring Action Day at Castle Combe in two weeks time, we'll see
Big thanks to John and the boys at www.fcmmotorsport.co.uk

I've owned her since July 3rd 1995, and smile as much when I drive her now as I did the day I drove her home from Wales. I was grinning like the proverbial village idiot yesterday just being towed to my mates workshop lol. A couple of people beeped out and waved, didn't know them from 'Adam' lol. She's a passion, given me so much enjoyment, I've made some fantastic friends as a result of owning the old girl, the whole 'big power Cossie' ownership gives me the most incredible feeling of pride, enjoyment, excitement - just a great buzz
Was good speaking to you at Ford Fair 2010, hopefully see you there this year aswell mate

Deffo one of my favourite Cossies out there, my first one at 19 was flint grey, easily one of the best colors. There is just somthing about a nice 2wd saff, such good fun to drive

Thanks for the kinds words Steven, I think it's quite a good sleeper, there are some people that don't completely grasp the concept of sleeper

There's been highs (185.5mph on her first ever top speed outing) and lows (two engine failures at two consecutive Performance Ford Daddy Thrashes '05 & 06, rough cost for the two rebuilds including spec changes Ł20K) so it's been a bitter sweet experience, but every time I get the oportunity to drive her, or take some one for a quick blast (ask James and Charlie Hatfield, 183mph on Mark Shead's private test road ) she always leaves you with an unerasable memory of Cossie (more over MADevelopments Cossie) power and torque that will live with you for a long time
I hope to see you at Ford Fair Steven, and hope your wife is keeping well mate too!

Thankyou for the kind words guys
Just got back from John's garage, the T5's out, new clutch fitted, and the Tremec is in
Fuck me that thing weighs an absolute ton, no wonder Rod's has never let him down, it would probably work fine in a 38 tonne artic lol. Man coming tomorrow to measure up to make a custom prop shaft, will need to do a little fettling to get the gear box mount to fit.
Will try to remember to take the camera tomorrow and get a few pics
Up date soon

lol, nothing to report today Phil, really busy at work at present, so having an early night after last nights late night activities, and add to that some no good thieving cunts broke into Johns workshop last night we have a good idea who he/she is that's responsible for this, so......
