Right got a sprinter at work, with the sprintshift (SSG) gearbox
driver came back to yard after no problems at all...
turned it off in gear![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)

now wont come out of first gear,
star diagnosis says faulty pump...
replaced pump... star diagnosis still says faulty pump... the pump is not running... the pump relay is clicking... the fuse is ok,
when i changed pump i also replaced the hydralic oil...
now im at a loss.. can get it to start by briding the nutral relay.. but obviously it drives away as its stuck in gear..
the star diagnosis also has the option of "emergency neutral select"
but WILL NOT move out of first gear...
after hours and hours of swearing at it.. it still refuses to co-operate..
any help greatly apreciated!! i have told my boss he would be better off burning the EFFFING thing stupid german SHYTE!

i've know a few merc cars to have issues with the auto gear lever, not sure if the vans use the same one, but the E class seems to have the issue

Right got to the bottom of it in the end at around half 11 last night,
Doesnt seem like a popular post this one lol but ill put what i found as you never know someone may do a search for it one day and come accross this post lol,
Right basically the new pump had burnt out....
The underlying problem to this was a faulty hydrallic pump relay, this is just under the drivers seat,
The relay was stuck and caused the pump to over heat and pack up even tho the pump was brand new!!
Got "another" pump last night from a 24hr merc dealer and removed relay,
Topped up the hydrallic fluid in the system,
Fitted a new 2x20amp relay
Put ignition on and hey presto all done,
