56quid for a cage doesn't sound bad! Wish mine only went up £56 when I decide to get a cage for the 200sx.

No changes to my insurance policy with a recent addition of a cage, and that's with Paul @ Need to Insure

I think the view with some insurers is that if you stick on big brakes and a roll cage... the chances of you giving the car some real stick is far greater than if you're cruising around without a cage and some milk bottle top brakes.

Cheers,
Grant

This is pretty much what I gathered.
That fact someone feels they need a cage, makes then look at it from the perspective of 'He's going to be driving it hard, hard enough to feel he could end upside down in a field'.

Your also more likley to hurt yourself on a cage should you crash/roll over, as its in closer proximity to your head/body etc as you don't see many people wearing a crash helmet when driving a caged car on the public highway

true true, i thought the same.

I'l defo give paul at need to insure a ring when my premiums up. I couldnt get through last time.

You could also argue that more efficient brakes means less chance of crashing and if u did crash a roll cage increases your chance of survival so less for insurance to pay it. Or is that just me??

your lucky as some insurers won't insure it if it has a cage so you could of been looking at a new policy, loads wouldn't insure my series 2 with a cage.
