Hi as above on a rs turbo zvh with haltech management when you start the car from cold and let it idle it will idle for a little while ok and then start to miss but if you pull the ht leads off the plug and just rest it ontop of the plug it will run great and wont miss the car drives perfect and idles perfect but if you plug it back on it will miss again, any ideas?
Ive tried new msd leads and 3 diffrent sets of plugs and makes no differance so dont think its anything to do with these

Weird. I would of said it was plug leads too.
Is the spark earthing out on the head. Are you still running a dizzy or is it now coil pack. Might be worth swapping dizzy/coil pack???

you need to advance the ignition when it's cold this uses the engine coolant sensor
there should be a specific table for this in your haltec software
there should also be one for air temperature but this one is normally just used to retard with high act

Ahh Right now i know what you mean, i will have a look at it see if i can sort it out Thanks
So i should try advancing the timing in the coolant map see if it makes any difference

I've noticed on standard rs turbo's if its got a fouled plug if you pull the lead back off the plug it appears to boost the spark and it then runs on that cylinder, fit the lead back on and nothing...never worked it out. weird.

Sounds like the plug is fouling, it may be the heat range is wrong and you need to run a hotter plug to keep it clean or possibly one cyclinder is oiling up due to worn rings? Have you done a compression check across all cylinders?
you need to post your main ignition table and your ect advance table and we will see if there are any areas that are dodgy
you can det an engine off boost as easy as on boost

i'm having similar prob at the min, have changed everything in the ignition system, plugs, leads, coilpack, had been running sweet, but last week or so its developed a miss low down in the rev range, but once the revs are up, its fine.... but just as you press the go pedal, it misses.....
i should also add its all standard, apart from an exhaust system and a forged bottom end, though i haven't up'd the boost, staying standard boost level....
