We had a similar prob when fitted wasted sprk to my friends cosworth when we put the ign on the fuel pump was constantly going and sounded like the injectors were also and when trying to turn it over it would stop like it was hydrolicing.
We ended up unplugging the injectors putting the ignition on till the pump had primed and cut out then plug the injectors back on and it would start , still not sorted it just parked it in the garage and left it

Thats how I read it, but I wonder now if it was fine until he fitted the wasted spark parts. Really not sure what he is saying to be honest... lets have some clarity matt so we can all look in the right area!

Whats the "For Fucks Sake" in aid of?

Matt clearly said it hasnt run since Ford did the underside resto... no mention of anyone fitting wasted spark, hence I am asking for clarification. In case you missed it... here it is again.

So It DID run fine when it came back from Ford and went to Gus's? And after Gus fitted WS parts it has never run since? Correct?

Just trying to clarify what events took place before the car stopped workikng mate as mentioning Ford and fuel lines got us all thinking about fuel pressure etc when in fact it now seems its ran fine since those pipes were off... LOL

Sorry I'm still not clear... Car went to ford as a running car... They did underside and it was trailered back where me and hus took standard equipment off and fitted MSD up rated items... No ones to blame it just looks a faulty looms or connection issue but all contacts have been cleaned and it's still doing it.

Ok, so after Ford trailored it back to you, did anyone check if the car starts before ripping it all apart and fitting parts to it?

if the subloom has been checked and it's fine, then surely its got to be the original ignition amp connector with the dodgy connection. have you tested that ?

Stu it only starts if you mess with the ign amp plug. I checked the continuity through the plugs while connected and they are fine! Once started if you stop it it won't start unless you mess with the plug again! I retro fitted all std ignition back on and it starts on the button! So you tell me lol

Are all the pins in the new loom ok? On the ignition amp plug. You can pull the boot back to have a better check.

Continuity through the plugs when connected is perfect! There is 12v to centre pin aswell checked that early on!

Not having much luck lately, let's hope when niggles sorted it will all be worth it. Just spent the day cleaning mine ready for central day next week. Fitted wasted spark on mine but was lucky and everything worked fine first time. Unusual for my luck.
