Default rear beam removal , bolts broken......

seems to be a common thing, behind the big location bolt on either side of the car there are two small bolts for locating the beam.they are bolted up into a box section with a small inspection hole.there are two captive nuts inside.one nut has broke its welds.had to grind the bolt off.i cant get a welder up to my house for a while so is there any other KNACK that i can do to sort it.

cheers

i thik 17mm or it might even be a 19mm open ender can be pushed throught the hole in the side to grab the square captive nut, after you get the bolt out of the nut just replace it witha normal nut and get ya fingers in the hole to hold it till it nips up and then ya sorted

usually drivers side

as strut says u can put a nut in and either get a spanner in or a big screwdriver to hold it till it nips up

I prefer to put a allen bolt in from the top (feed it through the access hole so the thread comes out of tghe box section), the end of the allen key fits easily in the access hole, no messing about trying to wedge screwdrivers or spanners in the access hole
