i passed my test 26 days after my 17th birthday and then drove my dads 2.0 ghia sierra and those were the days when if you put a fiver in the tank and it made a difference, then i got a chevette and used to drive everywhere just for fun, can remember driving to dover for no reason and then home.

brilliant!

I only passed August 4th 2010.
Mine wasn't very impressive, as it was only a mk4 fiesta 1.25.

I dropped it 60mm on some capri lazers in white and thought I was Mr. McRae.
Needless to say, I stacked it in the side of a City Link van on a roundabout!

1st May 1964 in my 100E Ford. Nobody seemed to care about safety back then so no speed limits to hold you back . Mind you that old 1172cc side valve was flat out at around 73mph .

6 weeks before taking my test I agreed to buy my first car (a mk1 fiesta 1.3 ghia) off a guy who's brother worked with my dad, told him I would be back the afternoon of my test (may 16th 1989) to pick it up, I passed mid morning then got a bollocking off the examiner for celebrating too much lol
Turned up at the guys house that night to pick the car up and he had totally forgot he had agreen to sell me it and hadn't got himself a new car, his wife went mad with him lol He still sold me the car tho...
June 20th 1989 I crashed into an xr3i in car park , november 1989 I wrote it off crusing!

July 2004, got picked up from work lunchtime ish by the instructor, did the test went back to work about three o clock when all the lads were outside on teabreak, i was passenger in the instructors car so they all assumed i'd failed and i then told them i had passed and instructors insurance wouldn't cover people once passed which is why i was the passenger! Then went up the shop opposite work, sat on the freezer eating a lolly getting chatted up by the girls in there, they seemed more excited i'd passed then i did, lol bless em! Nearly 8 years later still haven't got either of them in the back of the car, lmao

Try again!!!
April 1993 first time (of course)!!
Yet another broken promise from the old man saw him stop me using his car that first night I passed my test,I was fucking furious,I doubt he let me use the car more than 3 times in 3 months so I worked my ass off that summer, cafe in the day, nightclub in the night and bought myself £900's worth of 1.1 fiat UNO.
Some cunt drove into it pissed 2 days later, wrote it off but once again I listened to my idiot father who told me the £1250 I got paid for it HAD to be spent on a repair or they'd take the money back out of my account and I'd have nothing.
Knowing no-one I paid £1250 to get it repaired,2 doors,pillar and a sill,what a fucking idiot.
Never took advice from that fool ever again, the damage was minimal,I could have had the car, plus £1250 and driven it for a year til it needed an Mot,it didn't even look that bad!!!
Mind you I've wasted far more than that over the years on cars!!
Saved just enough from my first few pays to get an UNO turbo and had a great 18 months racing pretty much anything on the road, winning most as well, loved it and would have another one tommorow.
Although only for the weekend,it was hideously unreliable!!!

i remember passing mine. i passed first time on the day my car was getting mot'd. It was a mk3 fiesta si and its passed its mot but the tester said it desperatly needed a clutch but he couldnt do it untill the following monday. as it was friday i still took the car home so i could have it over the weekend.

i went out with my mate who has a 1.4 cvh escort, his car broke down as it over heated so we had to call the RAC, once they came i took my mate back to his, we all jumped in my fez and jumped back on the motorway when my clutch went and we had to call the RAC again!

2 break downs in a hour haha funny day though

I passed my first one in March 2000 at 10am, went to the bank and got a loan then bought a Sierra but wrote it off about 5 days later so got a ban for dangerous driving!

Fast forward to August 2006 I passed again and have been legal ever since!

Went out for 5 mins in my 1.9TD 406 Estate. Came home and turned the turbo up
