what are the standard pistons good upto power wise? Heard 550bhp is fine before?

i know personally of 4 propper 500bhp cars on STD pistons,
my 516bhp saff had STD mahle`s with valve cutouts and were 4x4 and 2wd head
another lad i knew had a 450+ saff on 100bhp of Wizard of NOS setup, same engine is still alive today after 4 or 5 years but now without the gas and a gay owner that was scared of it when he got it
its all in the map and regular checks for fueling IMO
