something tells me that turbo will need a rebuild within a year
didnt think you could get that much power from 0.48 housing - i went thru t34 turbo's every 12-18 months and that was on a 0.63 housing.

Well you learn something new everyday!!!my brothers got same spec, his has been fine last 3 years and he don't hang about only peaking 2 bar,but as your aware Harvey is one of the best mappers about do can't see there being a problem!

Quite possible on the dyno, take off approx 10% for fitting it to the car ( intercooler restrictions/ exhaust / ancillary drives etc) and it is about there..
Can't beat a T34 engine on the road, so nice to drive!

my engine was a harvey gibbs 400 spec and i ended up treating the turbo as an annual service item mine was running 32psi peak and 28psi held to the limiter. Was a very quick car but the turbo's certainly didnt last.

never ment it to come across as your chatting shite mate
was more asking the question of hasnt the t34 power limit been discussed before thing
not knocking it at all mate
sorry if you thought that

im not disputing the power figure - a dyno figure will always be higher than an engine fitted to the car as stated earlier in the thread.
I dont think the turbo will last long at all - that is all im saying as im speaking from experience.

The 0.48 housings don't seem to let go, I had one on my Sapphire that made 385bhp and 403lb ft (did 172mph) and was thrashed to fuck EVERYWHERE for a good couple of years. As soon as I went to a 0.63 a/r, that was when I had to have a new turbo every 3-4 months .
I suspect that if it is running that kind of power, that the compression ratio starts with an eight .
That will be an absolutely amazing road engine and you will have loads of fun - if it is 2wd - BE CAREFUL !

That's bang on the money for a .48 boys, if you really take the piss with back pressure and a properly specced engine it will show high 390s, and with a .63 415-415 bhp! As said, with the .63 and holding big boost at high revs to show over 400s they are forever shitting themselves!
Dan you will love it mate get it in there and come take me for that krushem
See ya tomorrow!
