Default Mk6 Fiesta CD Player swap

hi peoples.. my mate has just bought a new fiestaLX in white, and his stereo has 3 sections all seperate, and he wants to fit his Alpine cd player in and doesnt know how he'd go about this as every section is smaller/thinner than the stereo therefore doesnt look like it will fit unless you chop the dash up a bit ?

i told him not to bother as its already got good bass etc....lol

heres a pic of it anyways, it wasnt easy to take as my phone is shite and the other fellas i was with didnt have lights on their phones and the interior light was quite poo. this was the best we could get.

anyone been there done that, that knows what the dillio is here and how we can fit this new cd player?

Thanks

Bit of a bastard job but doable.

To remove it:

Need to cut the original fascia with a hacksaw blade (they might do replacement fascias now?), fit a mounting pocket/adaptor and fit a wiring harness.

It's very easy to scratch the dash/fascia with the heating controls whilst it's out so cover everything if you can.
