Just a quickie, been looking at replacements for my Focus and have been looking at these. What's the deal with the square plate thing on the front grille next to the Ford badge? I see some have them and some don't.

I think it means that some will require you to replace the grill, some won't.

Is it that regenerative shit like you get on bmw's?
Reduces use of energy in the car for better economy etc,like the flap opens now and again.




Or I suppose it could be a baseplate for the hackney cab it'll end up as in the future !!
