Why dont you get a transponder cat 2 immobiliser fitted? you just swipe the tag on a secret spot to deactivate it and it sets itself again after you switch the ignition off.

So even if someone had your keys they still couldnt start it. You and even disguise the transponder tag/key so they dont know you've even got one.

whet you need to do is use a reed switch, a latching circuit and a relay, not dificult to do and this can work in your ignition circuit. Not complicated but a bit fiddly to install. If you could get down to salford I could show you!

The only flaw with that is it would get nicked when he steps out the car in salford before he has had a chance to fit the kill switch

Realy... Salford is like all large cities.... There are good parts and bad parts..... what makes you think I live in a bad part? In my life I have suffered 7 "attempted" muggings, none quite played ouy how the muggers intended....... 4 were in LONDON (on the edge of the "city" near head office for RBS), 2 in salford (very bad part not where I live now ) and one in Manchester city center.

It's the same everywhere!

Salford isn't perfect but where is! I have kept my current RST for over 12 years here now! (and still have it!)
