Thumbs down from me... have gone into detail before, but glad (with a slight tinge of bitterness ) that he's doing the business for most of us. Maybe one day I will be able to put up my own 'Thanks Paul @ N2I' thread.

Cheers,

Can't really see how he would have let you down, either not being able to "quote you happy" as it were, or you has an accident and a payout was not given because of some clause i.e. you didn't declare everything maybe?

Nah nothing shady like that I'm afraid.

He seemed a little disinterested when talking on the phone, but I assume he was probably having an off day, given the glowing feedback he gets on here.

I was a little disappointed that he then passed my request onto someone else even after I'd waited to actually get hold of Paul specifically after reading about him so much on here. But give this new guy his due, he took a while to process my request (days not hours..) but seemed to work hard to get me a quote for the cars I'd requested.

But it ended up being over double the premium that I'd found on a comparison website within 5-10mins.

That's basically the long and short of it actually, no big issue, I'll likely still see what he can do if/when there is a new addition to the driveway in the future. But I was looking forward to being a paid up member of the N2I Fanclub!!

Cheers,
Grant

Ah mate that's just the luck of the draw really. Shame he didn't meet your expectations, but at the end of the day it's a business and needs to make the most of it. Most likely some of your info i.e. not enough no claims, area, age etc. may not warrant a cheap enough deal. All I'd say bud, is never give up on Paul, try again when you renewal is due and you might be surprised...I was

even though i proberbly wont go with him next time, i ahve to say the service to get me a good quote was very good, and agree it did take a couple of days, but they couldnt help with my other car so could only insure one with them

downside is when i changed my car becuase they told me it was on a special policy they wanted full premium to cancel it and ihad ot start up a fresh policy, something i wasnt told about before i took policy out hence paying 2 policys now for a car i dont even own, if it had been a little figure to pay off i would of done it but they wanted full premium to cancel

What would you rather someone give you some ridiculous quote on the phone with a like it or lump it attitude, or someone who actually has gone away and spent there time working on it for you? The former would be the response from the average insurance company.

I have to say I am very surpirsed that you managed to beat the quote elsewhere, for me nobody else would be able to touch near what I pay with them.

Yeah, I'll definitely give Paul a chance to quote the next time.

I think you might have misinterpreted my post mate... I'm quite happy for someone to go away and take a while to prepare a quotation. It certainly gives the right impression that they're working hard to get the best price they can.

Just insured my frs with n2I....don't think i dealt with paul but they were really helpful and like already said took a couple of days to get back to me, but were the cheapest i'd tried so went with them!
If come renewal time they are still competitive i'll be well chuffed....always seem to get a crap quote on the 2nd year so we'll wait and see!

I've been insure with Paul since 2007 (aged 27) i think all policy's with him have been agreed value, fully comp, limited mileage inc RSOC track cover and full break down service.

At the time i had my S1 and that was £105 - to also add my FRST on to the policy it was an extra £99 with all the same perks

When i got the 3dr in 2008 it was £161 - after i added the CXN's and RS500 kit it went up to £272 - my latest quote for my current spec as it's way beyond classic but no limit mod insurance was £400 on my 3dr you can't say fairer than that
