Can anyone please help, every time I put the fan on it makes an intermittant noise, I have had a look but admit I do not know much, I pulled the carpeting back and a 4 to 5 inch tube like plunger fell out, I could not see where it had come from any ideas ? The noise is starting to get louder, I turned the CD up and that seems to help, I would appreciate any advice to sort this problem out on my Ford Focus 03 1.6 Zetec,

It could be just wear or another problem is where people don't fit the pollen filters correctly! What then happens is water gets into the motor and causes it to ultimatly sieze, this is also what causes resistor pack problems.

You can try and remove it and lubricating it to see if that makes any difference?

Thanks mate. Any idea as to what the plunger that fell out was and where it goes back ? As I said it was about 4 to 5 inches long and black in colour, the diameter is just a bit bigger than a 5 pence piece, when the plunger is pulled out it looks as if it should be attached to something, but I can not see where !!!!!.
