my battery went flat on my saph and now the window one touch won't work ,ive tryed holding the switch closed and then open but stoll won't work any ideas

 

One touch windows on a sapphire ? its probably not broken,it dosnt have the function.

 

used to work before battery went flat now they just move about 2" at a time

 

Seriously I have been in hundreds of sierras and never seen one with this,I think the last one I drove was K or L reg and it didnt have it.I am genuinely confused now,is my memory that bad No I am 100% sure they dont have it,but yours did I am sure someone will be along shortly with another opinion

 

it is a late 92 if that makes any difference

 

Modern one touch systems need to be retaught the end stop limits, open window fully and close fully several times, turn off ign and then try again.

I have one touch windows on my car (only the fronts) but its a feature of the alarm 'smart windows' I don't think any saph came with one touch windows irrespective of year

maybe thats it i have a toad fitted so that might give me the one touch option then

 

It could possibly be an option with that alarm

I've had the problem of them stopping an starting, but that was the switch..

 

As said they never had such a feature, if you have then it would be part of an aftermarket alarm system, that needs to learn when the window is fully down and up.

The way to enter the alarm will "Learn" will be specific to your alarm.

Im sure i got told you can make them one touch with a relay, pretty easy to do as well so ive been told.
