Well, the cossie head is dead.....
.... got a call from the man who was looking at my head yesterday, and he said it would have needed to be rebuilt....
He said the guides were gone but the valves could still be re-used and the head would need a skim as well..... And as it was already too thin... well its a no go now... As I only asked him to clean it and have a quick check, I guess I am lucky he did have a good look at it!! Only wanted to change the headgasket....
I am glad I had spotted GurnE head for sale... now got to go get it, get myself a new cambelt and tensioner and put the whole thing back together....
I was hoping to be able to finish it to go to Bristol on the 2nd March with it... but I seriously doubt it Would take a miracle....
One step at a time......

I think I have some bolts already..... got them when I got the headgasket and other bits... because it was going to be such a straight forward job... Thanks for the offer though
All I really need for now to get it back on the road is a grp A cambelt and tensioner. Might order it today so I can get started on Saturday night...
If I am lucky, it will be around Bristol on the 2nd...

Let me check with Lee how if he would be happy with that... or maybe I could give you his money to take back to Bristol? Are you from Bristol too?

Hi guys
Right, I've no problem with Glenn taking the head and you giving him the cash, Nat
The only problem is what time Glenn is coming to pick up the head.
I'm working till 5.30 today so won't be home before about 6.00pm, and whilst the head is off the car the turbo/manifolds are still on the car so It's gonna take me 30 minutes to take the turbo etc off
If you're coming past about 6.30 then it's no problem.
Any use Glenn?
(Btw I'm in Eastville, 2 minutes from IKEA)
