Right then peeps...
Got the figures back from Compomotive. And it's not cheap...
Basically, the wheel will use one of compomotive existing rim moulds, with the custom centre needing a new cast. this will mean it should clear a decent caliper/ disk combo in the same way as an MO, ect.
as for cost, its looking like they could be sold for around Ł275 a rim, painted what ever colour you want, with a new genuine centre cap. Comparing this to an MO of the same dimensions, which are between Ł220-250, depending on colour and where you shop, i don't think its out the way.
Let me know what people think, i'm well up for giving it a go, but i've done the maths and would have to sell 40 sets to break even ( the centre moulding cast is proper ŁŁŁŁ)
Also if someone ccould pm me the dealing with vat on a venture like this, it would be a help, as it could help bring the price down if the vat can be retrieved or whatever.
am i barking up the wrong tree, or is this product people would want to see? I reckon they will suit a lot of stuff, not just sapphs...

Ł275 per wheel isnt bad when you consider it is a special order design. There is Ł500 per rim BBS wheels on wanky diesel VAGS that look 10 times worse lets be honest!!
17" mk5 escort RS2000 wheels would look the dogs balls on a s2 rst!! And as said 17" 3dr cossie wheels.
Sapphire 4x4 sharktooths still looking top of the pops to be fair!!

You would sell 40 sets easily, if you can find the capital to invest. The 18" Mondeo Si rims (sorry 18" escort cosworth rims ) still fetch over Ł1000 for a second hand set.

i like the sharktooths and would definitly consider them for my saph which i will soon be buying wheels for. would it be a good oppurtunity to also put a bigger step on the lip say a inch to keep the proportions right..
the finished wheels will obviously not look like the photoshops as the centre cap area will be smaller if using a standard cap.
lattices are the most horrible wheel ever made.
would love to see a set of 17 inch escos wheels

Tis dear but a silver MO is Ł230 plus post. just so i'm up front, as it all got deleted on rsoc, at Ł275, there is Ł55 pound a wheel profit, which goes back to paying off the mould that is just short of 10k. i started being told i need to pay trader fees and stuff as i was making a profit.
if thats a problem, delete this thread too. isn't worth the bother
