hi paul just a quick qeuery and if you could help i would be eternally gratefull, i have bought a car with one of you engine rebuild in it,

the engine was built on the 23.07.01, the customer was joe bird, the car was a black 92 saff 4x4 reg num J644 AVX ,and the invoice number was 2738, i'm getting my car all sorted and mapped but when you have done your invoice under pistons used , it just says pistons......£499.95, the question is can you tell me what type of pistons these were from you records??? or do you know from the time/price they were purchased what type they are likely to have been.

P.S. YOUR ENGINE BUILD IS FAULTLESS AND THE ENGINE STILL SOUNDS AND PERFORMS PERFECTLY, A TESTAMENT TO YOUR ABILITYS, TOP JOB MATE

cheers carl

Not neccessarily standard comp mate , you can low comp Mahles to run bigger boost as my old car ran them with big boost and didnt once havea problem

A lot of big engines uses Mahles matey

He should do matey , he keeps a job sheet for everything , and that would have such info like CR etc etc .

Although to be fair your talking about an engine thats nearly 4 years old this year so the build sheet might be a tad bit difficult to find

If you post the current spec then an rough idea of CR can be gathered from that

dunno what the spec is other than it was built by paul and at the time he made it stg 3, performance parts used during the build that ive picked out from the list include

200 block rebored to +1.0mm
piston set
grp a engine gasket set
motorsport cambelt
head recondition inc bronze guides
1 x a.bayjoo chip and board
1 x 3 bar
4 x 803's

theres a huge list of stuff used but those are the performance bits in the list so make of that what you will
