Hopefully i will have an RS1600i soon and was wondering what peoples opinions were on their favourite noise...........(NOT turbocharged )

Gus, why you using a remote rear engine mounted turbo?

not seen this since AVA built that mental green S2 that was sooooooooo talked about/slagged off etc etc....... i like it!

yeah my manifold is an ava jobbie

dont know the green one but it does work

using it to be different from the norm and for what it offers to the engine characteristics

quite a few people adopted this in the early 2000`s before every man and his dog fitted zetec turbos, will try to find some info on the big power(300+?) RST AVA did

carbs are all well and good but throttle bodies are so much more flexible and the sound isn't really that different in the long run. only cars that should be carb fed are concours originals like lotus elans, jag E types lotus cortinas etc etc. anything else should be swapped to throttle bodies really

Carbs are more temprimental too. Much better reliabilty with TB's.. Still love the sound of a mk2 Escort on carbs raping it through the forrest on full chat.

find a piper x filter and a power roar pipe and leave it be, the mfi can give a awsome growl

As it's a RS1600i I'd keep the standard inlet. Get a proper exhaust and let it roar
