Default RST Torque characteristics

werent to sure of title really

Right, this is the situation. On my RS, when you floor it, it feels like the power just comes all in at once (if this makes sense) What I mean, is that at certain revs, the power just comes in with a big kick, it is not a smooth delivery..

Are all ERST's like this?? Im not moaning but cant imagine how cars with 200+ 250+ bhp even get any grip, or dont they lol

Dont get me wrong, i dont mind it, but it does cause issues such as wheelspin.. Up the 1/4 i reckon it would be useless...

Is there any ways to resolve this?? differnt spec cam etc.. Noticed alot of mildly tuned zvh do quite well on the 1/4 (Keith Taylors old one for example) Assume this is down to low down torque??

Mine used to come in with a real bang. That was what really broke gearboxes.

What cam are you using?

Mine is much smoother now, well as smooth as 2 Bar can be.

I was just ruling out a -34, as someone I used to know used to put them on all his chipped RST's as it made them feel quicker (boost in with a bang, torque steer = fast car )

Can't honestly remember how far you went with your engine etc.. but C is now on the case.....

I know exactly what your saying.. without being to modest here A few people that i have taken out in the car always say it feels quick compared to others But really its just cos it all of a sudden, wheelspins and the front goes all over the place

So, its pretty much standard and you find it comes in with a bang?? LOL.

Just kidding. The standard Turbo will be quite responsive compared to, say, a Stage 3. Is the exhaust Standard?? If so, you might find that a more free flowing exhaust would take the punch out of it.

standard, fook knows what a tuned one is like

serioulsy, runs 18psi so a little more than standard

It runs a debaffled scorpion.. (i know these are meant to be restrictive, but its an early one, and apparently were better :S )

Just seems, its all of a sudden as apposed to a build up lol.. maybe its the chip or cam or fook knows

How did you get yours to be not so instant, assuming it is
