Got a problem and need help

I have a seat alhambra and for some reason the drivers door wont open, not with the fob, or the key!

All other doors open fine, but when you go to lock the car, the central locking keeps whuring so not able to set.

Also, the drivers door red courtesy light is on as if it thinks the door is open, but it wont and isn't.

How do i get it open??

Also, the other night the battery died, so stuck another vag battery on, this is when the issues then started, and did notice that the old batttery was 66amp and the new one is 80amp so have switched it back - could this have caused the issue - it was a slightly larger battery - more power??

Any clues or help would be much appreciated

if its anything like the passat the sensor for the door that work the interior light etc is in the locking mechanism in behind the door panel, if it goes bad the central locking acts weird, lights left on warning buzzer dont work etc

would explain the dead battery if that switch was stuck "on", courtesy light draining, it wont lock cos it thinks door is open etc

cheers guy, any ideas on how to get the door open as the key or fob is doing nout to it??
