Looks amazing, apart from the big red Volk Racing sticker on the wheels and the OTT rear wing.

Cheers,

Last of the genuine Godzilas also (R35 sounds like a washing machine in comparison to a high revving RB on propper boost)

will own one at some point

TBH I'm not a fan of the big gay wing look, but that car can pull it off, I'd be split 50/50 about changing the spoiler for something else if it was my own car

Dont like the stickers on wheels. Or the nasty rear wing.

Also why hasn't he got the Nismo front bumper?!?!? looks much better and sharper.

heres my old one with Nismo bumper.

BUT its no doubt a very very very cool car! Batmans Skyline EVIL looking thing!!!!

Love and hate.

Would NEVER have another.

and wouldnt recomend them to anyone.

911 Turbo does everything sooooo much better and more reliably and with more class.... for same money. The 911 was double the money when new.... and you can tell.

The 35 GTR is a PROPER thing though. They are awesome.

Really? are they tha bad? i didnt expect the build quality to be the best, but your making it sound terrible! lol why wouldnt you reccomend one? was it just due to unreliability and poor build quality?

Sometimes I dont know!

I do like them loads!

but dont know when I would ever drive one!

I hardly EVER drive as it is. When I do... its at the weekend for a trackday. I have 3 trackcars as it is and I like little light cars on track to be honest.

When I wanna drive a 'nice' car.... I take the Red one.

I drove my 911 less than 15 miles in the whole of 2011!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I PROMISED my Girlfriend I wouldnt buy any more cars this year..... and I bought the Lotus. I pretended it was a trackcar for her even though she spends less than 4 weeks in the UK a year

Maybe she needs a new trackcar for 2012

The gearboxes worry me as well! I can break ANYTHING!

Porkie ive got to disagree with you somewhat,as i ran one of these for 18mths a few years ago ,but was 2.8 hks motor big brakes suspension etc, circa 650hp and for the money was untouchable on the road ,used to handle very well for a big heavy car once you mastered it and i only had to change the clutch from a twin to a triple plate in 16,000 miles,i know everyones different and obviously depends what your used to but after i sold it i bought another 18mths later but as it was fairly standard it didnt cut the mustard and i wasnt going to chuck aload of money at it upgrading, anyway only my opinion

yep! what more you want?

Found the engine a bit gutless. Fine when you wind it up and rev it... but down low lacking torque.
Suspension is very 'crashy'
Interior is normal jap plasticy rubbish.
The clutch on mine was shocking (HKS, there are better alternatives now) To have it low enough to look half way good... means smashing the shit out of the massive and expensive front splitter everywhere!
It REALLY attracts the wrong attention. Its the ONLY car I have ever owned that I didn't feel comfortable leaving places. I had 2 attempts on it from my garage!

These cars are all over 10 years old now... have you ever heard the saying 'never meet your heros?'

Er? thats my point!

Agree on handling. Mine was WICKED on track. Was on Nismo G-Attack stuff, made by Ohlins. Nasty on road... I drove a standard one. Was better, still crashy though.

so yes a 2.8 HKS 650bhp mega money motor might be great... but expensive and look at all the many rebuilds that these Skylines all have!

a 3.6 Twin turbo engine from Porsche is just better and stronger and FAR FAR more reliable in my experience. So is the Supra engine actually.

Brakes on Skyline are awful for anything other than road use.

Glad you liked yours. I was glad to see back of mine!

I think mines now pretty mental spec. The new owner sent me this

All about the badge? I kinda thought that as well. So decided to see and bought one.

Whilst what you are you were right about older Ferraris. The modern ones I can assure you are fucking amazing. In everyway.

Gearchange is STUNNING! and its got almost 500bhp and does over 190mph and 4secs to 60. So hardly gutless. ALOT faster than my old dyno proven 552bhp Skyline thats for sure.

How many have you owned? Older ferraris were a bit poo. The modern ones are epic. well built, usable, fast and PROPER drivers cars!

I didnt expect to like it. Let alone fall madly deeply in love.... not with the looks. Its the drive!

All about the badge? god no!

I think they are great looking cars, engines have a lot of potential for big figures without too much bother (despite people thinking it has to be a RIPPS/HKS/Top Secret spec engine)

The liner I mentioned previously was recorded 585WHP which equates to roughly 630 fly bhp at the speed it was tested at. Having watched it on the rollers, and various other cars with various bhp levels I would say it definately had that power. It had a power FC, 1000cc injectors, MLS head gasket, ARP bolts, uprated oil pump, HKS turbo's, big fmic, 4" exhaust, high lift cams and uprated AFM's and fuel pump...bottom end was stock as was head/inlet. think it ran 1.6 bar, we could have went higher but it needed a second pump so called it quit's at that.

absolute SHITE quality vid of it, but it's worth it for the first 20 seconds of engine sound

http://youtu.be/s6lrxtIIB_s

Never thought it was horrible to drive despite the size of it, interior was decent for a jap spec car of its age, gearbox I think was more than man abough for the job, it's a fucking huge getrag fucker that takes 2 people to lift.

Car got sold to someone in Germany iirc and made way for an R35.

to be honest chap ive never owned ferrari but had 911s turbo,s aswell but a friend of mine who got the 6 numbers bought a couple new 360 spider at the time and a 430 i think it was they sounded the tits but didnt float my boat or his ,he then sold them both back to gray paul ,lovely looking cars but just not for me,and to be fare id need a larger pocket to pay for the servicing cambelt change etc ,everyones opinion is different with any car ,not saying the r34s are fantastic but a bloody good car for the money, and seem to hold there money well
