Anyone got a killer CV
I'm job hunting at the moment and was wondering if anyone had a really good cv. i dont mean content i'm looking for advice on layout, what to keep in, what to keep out etc
i try to change my cv for each application to tailor it a little but i'd like to create just one great CV for getting the job i've always wanted.
i'm currently working through an agency for a ford parts delivery company, but i have a 2:1 degree and would like become an engineer in the automotive sector.
any websites, or advice or anyone previous experiences would be appreciated
cheers
rory
p.s. if anyone knows of any work in the herts, beds, essex or london areas in the automotive engineering sector let me know

The basic format of a CV should be very easy on the eye and kept to an easy to follow format:
Page 1 should include
Full name
Age / D.O.B
Address
NI number
Telephone no /Email
Education
Qualifications / Courses Attended
Software experience
Current Employment (including a detailed description of your current role, highlighting areas of responsibility and main job function)
Page 2
Previous Employment History
(for each of your previous roles include a summarised description of what you used to do. Highlight specific areas of responsibility)
Page 3
Other relevent info
A bit about you / Hobbies Etc
Referees (Minimum 2)

Phil, depends on how much experience you have got. If you are applying for a senior role / Management / Supervisory and you hand in a 2 page CV they are going to think you just left school
