tyre size question
Hi ive just brought some 16" escort gti wheels for my van ,ive got them home and the tyres fitted on them are 195/50/15 like i had on my series 2 alloys ,is this ok like this or should i change them to 205/50/16 like all the gti wheels on ebay seem to have on them .
id rather not change them as im skint lol but saftey comes before money any advice would be greatly appreciated

Should be fine mate, they are slightly stretched but guys running Escos rims on the likes of Fiestas and stuff have to drop down to 195 so they dont catch the arches.
So in the case of you ever wanting to lower your van you'll be one step ahead lol!

yeh the rim diameter is 16"(when i put a tape across it.)but ive just been to a tyre place and the bloke there told me there 15 "alloys off an escort gti not 16" LIKE I THOUGHT THEY WERE ??he told me you wouldnt get a 15"tyre on a 16"alloy i would have assumed that did the gtis come with 15 or 16 "alloys does anyone know
