Default Is it possible to do burnout in a 4x4 car?

Just for curiousity, is it possible to do RWD kind of burnout with 4x4 car I the 4wd system gives enough power to rear wheels, and if the car has enough grunt. For example: Sierra Cosworth 4x4 with 350 bhp, it gives 66% to rear wheels and 34% to front. If we take 6000 rpm, dump the clutch and press brake pedal, what happens? Rear tires burning like in RWD car or something breaks in powertrain?

I wouldn't be trying that with my Cossie but do anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?

Don't see how you can do it, we have permanant 4wd, so you can't lock the front wheels with the brakes and let the rears spin. You'd do a clutch or centre diff i'd imagine?

lol at the jeep but there looks like something on the floor already at the start?

Why? why not? lol! i reckon a sierra would do a front shaft/diff though. & i reckon as soon as it took up drive the front axle would break!

A: you don't want to fuck your transmission/clutch
B: cos it won't do it
C: cos you have an average or above average IQ

I still can't come up with a reason why you would, other than 'cos you're stupid enough to try it

You would fuck the VC up I would have thought.

It's delicate like that to the point that you can't put them on the brake rollers even.

Because burnouts are fun...? But like I said, I wouldn't try that in my 4x4.

u can put them in the rollers as long as u hav got a 4x4 settin or if u can run one roller backwards as the other turns forward not to load up the diff and trans box, or if u jack the front of the car off the ground, at work we hav to do the brake test out on the road with 4x4s tho as we dont has fancy rollers

burnouts serve no purpose whatsoever.

however you can powerslide a 4wd car and do dohnuts etc if your brutal enough to get it to break free or do it in wet.

No you cant burnout a 350bhp 4wd saph in the manner you are describing. It will just slip the clutch or stall when you brake.

Wtf, no? Its funny how people tear their asses from a simple question. All I wanted was to know that happens in practice if one tries rwd style burnout. No one is stupid enough to try it but Im curious about 4wd powertrain and thats why I wanted to know what would happen.
