Those were the last diffs available, the customer bought them from TT himself. The Zytec was specially made for that car, and was a right faff as the parts were hard to find, never mind the little man in the forest clearing who built it. TT had a singular approach to electronics in those days!
The black Minker belongs to a customer of mine called Simon. His other car is a Lotus Carlton, so you can tell the sort of car he's into.

There were some pics of it up on Pistonheads a while back as he'd had his Carlton comprehensively valeted. I recognized the Minker straight away from the plate

My dad owned the car originally then Mark (who worked for John years ago) bought it but did some little changes to it I believe he filled the door handles in and resprayed it.
Mark sold the car last year and the new owner (minkerboy) who I don't know but he contacted me on here has got it back ready for the road I believe.
I have asked him to create a thread but not sure if he has seen my message yet.
unfortunately I'm a vauxhall man and currently have a VXR (don't hate me)

My friend used to work at TT when they used to build all there turbo conversions, they made the few Minkers then Geoff started working on the 24v 2.9 version, which one was made and that is his track car, I think around 600 bhp. Actually he also build an estate scorpio (I think), which was around 350 bhp and was his everyday car, a detuned version of his track ca, had TT suspension set up and was 4x4, it was for sale on ebay a few weeks ago.
They used to do a hell of a lot of stuff, turbo golf gti's, turbo 205 gti's, all at low boost, think the 205 was about 200 at 0.9 bar. They even did a K gate YB manifold and made a twin turbo cosworth, shame they gave up building cars as Geoff knows his stuff
