Default Fensport Celica makes 743hp

I've known this was going on the dyno for a while and last week they finally run it up.

Not sure on the exact spec, it was run with the bigger turbo that they use for top speed runs which is a GTX35, no gas either.

Link to their website :

http://www.fensport.co.uk/FensportCa...ica_GT4_X.aspx

And a video :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UcXIQc9rKk

Very cool car, 2nd fastest thing up Goodwood I believe as well which isn't bad going.

Always a lot of fun watching Jonny Milner and Adrian battle it out at the Toyota Sprint days, lots of videos of that on You Tube

Agreed, its far from a money no object build like some of the others out there.

Probably cost less than a lot of the cars being built on here tbh but would beat any of them in most disciplines, just a great package.

Always a consistent runner and always immaculately presented. Both this car and the Corolla before it.

If wheelspin is a problem, he should try a Mainline or DD, shouldnt suffer as badly. Or hub dyno.

Either way, it's a pretty damn fast car.

Not sure if it's true, but do fensport actually build the engines or do they get another company to?

Regardless of the wheel spin, that's easily still a 780bhp car.

I'll never forget Adrian rocking up to Brunters in an ordinary looking 5-door Corolla, cracking 200mph with so little fuss or drama, and driving back home again!

That Celica is a bloody impressive package.

Was at GT4 Challenge weekend (an event organised through the GT4 Owners Club) a few years back at Elvington and that Corolla was absolutely tits... whenever the Fensport guys are up at Knockhill then I'll go over and take a gander at the new bits and bobs that have found their way onto the car and chat with them.

Cheers,
Grant

That should pull 200 easily, it has already done it with fas less power and it made it look easy back then (remember it in redline about a year ago?) Reckon its good for 210ish now.

It did 202 earlier this year, only changes I think have been made since then is the swap from a GT35 to a GTX35 but he may of had that fitted when he did the top speed run at Woodbridge

The facts suggest its not as easy as you think.
If he had 680bhp to pull 202mph it will require 815bhp to reach 210mph in the same distance. If the gearing needs to be lengthened it will require even more Power to pull it. Only 5 cars have ever exceeded 210 at Brunters its mega hard.
Adrian knows how hard it is, I wish him well.

It was over a year ago he did it, because the guys at Javelin mentioned it to me when I done in Oct 2010, and I think it was a few months before that.

Although from what they said, they were using the full length of the runway, right back from the more or less disused part. So I think 1.25-1.5 mile distance or so.

Going by how it performed at TOTB this year though, I'd say it is a lot faster now.

Shockingly it was 2009 !

Just checked the Youtube video on my page

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6fr4RIoh_w

It was doing a touch over 180mph in the km at this years TOTB wasn't it ?

Its a very fast car, its a mate of mine who works for Adrian so I pop up there from time to time and have a chat with them all, as you say the car is very well presented, would be nice to see what it would do at Woodbridge now.
