Default Best boost pipe size???????

im going to be putting in the boost pipes on my car soon but im not sure what size pipes to use, the turbo is 55 mm the same as the intercooler but the throttle body is 70mm,

i have found some pipe and fittings at 57mm and a reducer to take me from 70- 57mm,

am i rite in thinking this should be ok as its under boost pressure and the thinner the pipework the less lag i am going to have or should it be larger?

cheers for any help

As I understand lag is only generated at the turbo (how long it takes the exhaust gases to spin it fast enough to produce positive pressure) the thickness of your piping walls realy won't make a difference to lag, only to weather they will burst if to thin and under pressure.
