Default MAP sensor problem on Corsa D 1.2

can anybody help me with this one.......
2007 corsa D 1.2 petrol, engine light on.
Plugged in and got fault code PO068-manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit range/performance.
fitted new Map sensor and grommet but has made no difference at all!
The code comes back as soon as the engine is started.
The MAP voltage seems fixed at 4.82 volts and pressure at 101kPa
This does not alter with the engine running or stopped or the sensor plugged in or unplugged.
Ive checked the wiring which looks okay and checked all fuses which are all good.
Any ideas anyone??

Was it a new vauxhall sensor used?

Also check for a short circuit between terminal 22 on engine ecu and terminal 3 on map sensor
