Best Cars from Motorsport...
After the best drivers cars thread, no surprise the top picks are almost lifted straight from motorsport...
So what's everyone's ONE favourite car from any given motorsport? nothing too obscure though
F1, GT/Le Mans, WSC (World Sportscar Champs), WRC, WTCC, BTCC, DTM, JTCC/JGTC (Jap), ATCC (Aus), MotoX, D1 Drifting etc.
Mine are:
F1: McLaren Mp4/4
GT: McLaren F1 GT-R
WSC: Porsche 956
WRC: Metro 6R4
BTCC: Sierra RS500
DTM: Mercedes CLK GTR
JGTC: Takata Honda NSX

If I could have any car from the history of motorsport ever it would be this one:
Paddy Hopkirks multiple event winning mini cooper S, pictured above winning the 1964 monte carlo rally, and I do not mean just winning its diminutive CC class but winning the entire event overall.

Love this vid of him driving a FWD car more sideways than most of us could manage in a RWD one!

Hard questions this.
Best touring car is the RS500 for me, though the super touring era was a great time too, as they're the touring cars I grew up with really.
Rally car; for me it would be the Escort Maxi kit car. Certainly not the best, or most successful, rally car ever, as it was never really used to its full potential thanks to Ford and their bean counting, but it was truly something special to me. Along with the Escort Cosworth, it's the last great rally car Ford made in my eyes. The final Gwyndaf Evans works car would do me, P2 FMC, put back to its original works spec. Just need to find the money to persuade the owner to sell it
Le Mans style/GT car would be the McLaren F1 without doubt.
Don't really have a favourite F1 car I must say!

Chasing Radders
For me its the Volvo 850 Estate touring car that was...from what i beleive...entered by mistake to the touring car seasons, as it was ment to be the saloon.....lol
To see an Estate competing and doing VERY well in the mid 90's was superb...............
