MK1 Focus

My rear window heating element hasen't worked since I've had the car.
The fuse is fine, I can hear a 'click' which I presume is from a relay when I press the switch on/off.

Where should I try next?

Would like to get this working for the winter.

at either side of the rear window you will have a connector, one goes to the chasis the other should be at 12 volts (13.2) with the engine on. this can be checked with a DVM or ise a spare side light to see of it lights it! if not you probably have a faulty relay or wire, if it does reseat the connectors BOTH sides of the window and see if this works then check on the other side of the windows as the chasis connector might not be earthing properly.

turn it on, start at the window, and work back until you see where the power is getting to!
then you know what the problem is

As said next thing to do is check the power at the screen itself, if no power here then you have a break in the wiring between it and the relay. If you do have power than check the ground is good and if so you have a faulty screen!

The fact the relay is clicking shows it to be working, but you should have +12V leaving on the output terminal which feeds the screen, there will be three other connections (Assuming SPST relay which I am sure it will be)
