hi i currently have a mk3 fiesta which has had what i was tiold was a xr2 engine in i have looked at numerous xr2's and none seem to have the same lump as mine? can somebody help me i want to get rid of this engine but i dont know what its out of i know its a 1.6 8v on weber carb, i have a photo on my facebook profile http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php...type=3&theater
please help lol i want to zetec so bad but must find out what engine this is to get rid

1600 CVH carb, with an RS1600i cover. The engine is probably from an XR2.

Not the original engine for that Fiesta, especially being an M reg. Also you have a Mk3.5 Fiesta.

Its deffo a cvh of some sort. What reg is the car thats its in? Early ones came with a 1.6 on a carb and was known as a 1.6s. used as a stop gap until the 2i came out on a late G and more common on a H. The later fiesta flights came with a 1.4 cvh on single point injection and a 1.6 zetec also. Plenty of choice out there for a swap though. Zetec conversion is easy as they came fitted to this car. Or use the 2.0 with a few 1.8 parts to work in your car. Or rs turbo eyc etc

how much work am i looking at to fit a 2.0 zetec to this car? and possibly costs/companies? its great fun with the 1600 but want more grunt lol

yeah defo a cvh with rs rocker cover

looks like it has the rs1600 exhaust manifold as well .
both the cam cover & manifold should be worth a bit when sold .

deffo the 1600 cvh .... rocker off rs (usally go for good money on ebay)
