Black WRC Escort "B5 JAM" STOLEN - reward now increased to £10k!

James Rogers is the owner of the car and having spoken to him yesterday, he still does not know where the car is, and if the police knew, he would be the first to be told.
Also, no-one has been charged with this, but a number of people have been "helping police with their enquiries". So besmirching anyone's character until the police press formal charges will not be tolerated, being questioned does not mean they are guilty.....

Seen a link on a local forum to this site for something irrelevant to this topic. But after a bit of nosying, i seen it has 909 parts for sale. So thought i would link it to this topic, just as a heads up because B5 JAM is claimed to have 909 parts on it!

Yeah I'd imagine it would be long gone , probably Europe as with social media the way it is you'd imagine someone might have spotted something , just wandered if there was any actual proper news about it

I heard it'd been found part stripped and was lead to believe some people in the ford scene (tuners or breakers?) were involved.
That was written by a well known person into his rs's on a Facebook page when someone posted a pic of it and people asked if it had been found. When asked for more info he simply said he couldn't release anymore information as it was an on going case

ok so looking into an earlier post there are a number or 909 parts for sale on http://www.motorsport-sales.com/ . i suggest contacting the website and see when the ads where posted...cross reference from there...ie if the ad was posted for the 909 parts AFTER the car was stolen then id begin making my enquiries with those sellers...im sure you/the police have thought of this.
Interesting seller on there with the history involved....

Trouble is, it's only a car, but to the enthusiast it's somewhat of an icon.
Sadly the police won't waste a great deal of time tracking down where the inlet manifold went for example.
Unless it's just been broken and still relatively intact it'll be difficult 2.5 years later to track it all down. Who's to say the parts found haven't been in another car all this time and that has now been broken again, and so on...?
It would be nice to think they have just recently started breaking it and selling the parts, but what its more likely that it has taken this long for someone honest enough to come accross a distictive part and flag it up.
