Any ideas what activates these? Light has just come on on the Mrs car out of the blue.

could be anything, so really need to get it plugged in and checked out

some mondeos were known to be caused by the seat belt pretensioners if you changed the seats over so perhaps you've moved the seat and trapped one of the wires?

'scuse my ignorance, but what code readers are available for the Fords? Now got diesel Smax and 08 Mondy so might be worthwhile getting something.

don't know mate, but i've got one of them vi performance meters that also double up as code readers

as already mentioned worth a check of the plugs under the seats.

With the ignition off unplug and re-seat all the plugs you can find under the seat. Over time with the seat going back and forth and peoples feet under the seats they get knocked about and come lose..

I did this on my last two mondeo's and it fixed it..
