Nothing wrong with a bit of clarification but as always, there will be a reason for each and every discount

But if you want something enough, it doesn't matter the cost as long as you get it

As for hanging around, some people forget they are run as businesses and not community centres

I remember when someone said they would try and knock something off if I paid cash, but when I got there it wasn't possible, but I had the full whack in my pocket as I didn't want to turn up with £300 less and then stand around looking like a twat

And don't forget, that thing you are looking for that you eventually buy will the. Turn up a few hours later in better condition and half the price

as your daily job involves negotiating with the large retailers perhaps you should try some of your magic with msd?
im not quite sure of the point in this thread since your fully aware of how retailing offers work.
anyone that wasnt as clued up as you would realise theyre not getting full discount on everything if it doesnt say that in the add.
and im not a tracksuit wearing arsekisser.ive never had a moment with msd.

I'm sure people get duped into offersthat say "sale items from £4.99" and then don't complain when they go and spend £500

The point of the thread is to apply a bit of pressure on MSD to honor their discount offers.....if they say they will discount to that level then make it clear on which items and during which period. I've noticed on the rear of the same discount flyer it says that if you register then you qualify for 'up to 40%' discount on selected items on their mail list......anyone ever seen a 40% discount item? Its very dis-ingeniousness.

Just ring them up and ask what you need to buy to qualify for the 20% discount or the 40%

For the Bosch 044 fuel pump I'd expect 20% discount given that its probably the most expensive single purchase Bosch item for sale. If 20% is not available don't print it.

I'm confused, I am trying to find the info on this 20% discount for this particular fuel pump and I can't find anything, anywhere, that says anything of the sort.

So it's UP TO 20% on Bosch product... Not 20% off that particular product then....

AARRGGHH.......how many Bosch products do they sell??

Any how...I've ranted enough.....

I did actually try and order a heap of stuff today from Matt Lewis....called 12 times over 2 hours(no exaggaration) between 9.30am - 11.30am and no one answered the phone and the answer machine wouldnt let you leave a message! Tried Graham Goode also 3 times during the morning in-between my attempts to raise someone at Matt Lewis but didnt get anyone.

That's it.....I'm going to set up my own online store!

Maybe words got out that I'm a moaning c*nt?!

[QUOTE=RWD_cossie_wil;5646755]So you don't understand the words UP TO, and Matt Lewis didn't answer his phone on a SATURDAY morning? :

I could understand it if you work for MSD, otherwise why would you argue against discount clarity. Doesn't make sense.

Anyway.....enough said on this I think. It's clear that many of us are somewhat a little disgruntled about their discount claims, but then no one had a gun to our head forcing us to complete the transaction. It just puts you off going back.

Wow, just seen this and am surprised at the fuss caused here, especially as you were given discount on your phone call anyway!.

Regardless, I am heading to bed now so in the meantime I invite you to put the other side of the card up so that everyone reading this topic has full details of what we are offering and I will then write a reply tomorrow as I have been up since 5am this morning and I will be up with little one at 5 / 6 am again tomorrow.

I will try and reply before I go out for the day tomorrow since this topic is important enough to make 2 pages, even though some damage is likely done and people think we are doing something suspect.

As an aside, its a fact that we are already one of the cheapest suppliers of EVERYTHING we supply in Europe, and we already ARE to my mind the most reliable mail order supplier in Europe, yet people still seem to be out to get us no matter how hard we try lately. Disappointing, but I will keep on trying harder.

Night folks.

Absolutely no issue with the MSD service as to date they havent missed a beat.
As above, I have absolutely no issue with your service as parts ordered day 1 have always arrived day 2 and you can really see the attention and effort made when packaged. Please do not take this as a personal attack on MSD as this was not the intention.

The issue I and a few have is that it is unclear what products or level of spend unlocks the top end discounts printed on your promotional flyers.

While were on the topic......I forgot to order a Bosch 044 wiring loom....any chance of some discount!

the only thing with matt is that, from what i understand, it's just him and his mrs doing the running of the show, so if they don't answer then they are doing something else
