Default Need Help With My New Car!?

I ordered a new Astra SRi, and I took delivery of it today and it's got SXi badges on the side. I was not too happy, and looking up the car there isn't a new SXi so I'm confused. Is there an SXi, or has it been badged wrongly?

Nice one.

No idea mate, I wouldn't know the difference between the SXi and the SRi. How would I know?

AFAIK on the previous shape astra the SXI was just the normal Astra coupe right down to the 1.4, then the SRI was the bigger engined models (1.8 vvti?) might be different over here though with it being Opel rather than Vauxhall?

I didn't notice it at all mate, just assumed it would be what I ordered. Well having been up to Vauxhaull and nosing round there are a few cars like mine, with the deeper seats and what not, and they are badged as an SRi. Plus, I cannot find an SXi for sale anywhere, so guessing there is no such thing, which is weird, as I have one apparently.

I know that Rax, I ordered this one 'cause I prefer bottles of Dr. Pepper.

If it came with the bottle in the exhaust as advertised, I wouldn't need too.

Sounds like a company car, otherwise why would you buy one?
If you have actually paid for an Sri and they have sent an sxi, then my friend you have been done! Sxi is basically base spec, Sri is the nicer one.

My suggestion as to what has happened is the following. You ordered a company car, in the time it's taken to come the vauxhall astra has changed shape and the lease prices have gone up. Looks like they have sent you what would be classed as the same spec in the newer shape.

I might be wrong but that's my guess.

I'd wager it's a 'free' motability car.

Why on earth would they badge up Motability cars wrong? It's not like they're any different to the normal cars?

Surely any Vauxhall dealer can put the reg in and bring all the info about the car? Go to your nearest one and get the answers.

It wasn't free, I pay monthly for it, along with a desposit which enabled me to upgrade to an SRi, hence why I wanted to make sure it was the model I ordered. It is an SRi, and has been badged wrongly.

I didn't beg, as I am in no financial posistion to have too. I could have gone out and bought this car if I wanted, but then if I was to do that, I'd have probably come back in a Ferrari.

1; I don't normally take any notice of Vauxhalls let alone Astrays

2; The website's called "New-Astra".
You'd have thought if Vauxhall wanted to continue selling cars they would at least put the correct cars on the website.
