Default Finding out there are Cossies around hiding up!

Visited a shop today and the guy who ran it was interested in chatting about my Sierra. Asking questions about it and genuinely being quite nice...

Anyway he mentioned he's had one since new.... TBH i was thinking he was full of hot air until he dropped the line.... It's in the garage round back, wanna have a look......... My jaw dropped.

A standard 4x4 Magenta with 20254 miles on the clock. It was gorgeous, even had the standard exhaust. only mods it had was a standard replacement actuator and added a red dump valve

But it was sensational... 20k miles for a 20yrs old car. And he had no intension of selling it

Just goes to show they are still around hidden up. His missus even invited me back this Saturday so we can get it out of the garage n have a few piccys taken together Top guy...

He has been using it, said he took it out for a run last week as the battery was getting flat. It was still taxed until Nov 2011! His missus showed me the History/MOT and he's done 952miles in 24months!

80% of the remaining ones probably are, it's nice to find one tucked away kept mint as if their were none, how would we know what a mint one was like in another ten years time? I personaly think it's great!

Look forward to the pics Smit

Wow thats mint.Im looking forward to seeing more pics.

I think its a shame when cars are sat in garages and the owners wont sell them.

I wonder how many people have had old cars like this which they wouldnt sell, then they die and there family scrap them cause they dont know what they are and how much there worth.

its the sideways abused ones that keep breaking and get sold, the nice ones that dont break get stored and kept, simple

i know of atleast 10 that do less than 1000mile a year within 5 miles!
