Default Clutch problem?

Peugeot partner van off my brothers has snapped the cable soni fitted a new one, anywAy the clutch was on it's last legs so fitted a new clutch while I was at it put it all back together and did a little test run and all was fine.

Anyway today he he been out in it and once warmed up he was unable to get it in gear? But will go in gear fine with engine off and once it has cooled back down, so faulty clutch or cable any ideas?

A cables a cable, so either it operates the release arm or it dosen't, with an assistant pressing the clutch see the release arm moves, if not then the cables wrong.

However as you say gears can be selected with the engine off AND with it cooled down I would say possibly a linkage problem etc or possibly clutch problem.

The cable has a automatic adjuster on it that's why I suspect it faulty?
