Default stack dash/electronic people

Hello I have a stack dash and the problem is the lights on the rev counter are faulty when you first switch the car on they come on fine then after 10 seconds they start to flicker. In the end they go off completly. It must be a component as it does it the same every time and if it was a loose wire it obviously wouldn't do it the same every time anyone got any ideas thanks

If you send it back to Stack they will pull your pants down to fix it. I had a LCD screen change and a white dial face with blue illumination and it was something like £400 !

If you can get it to bits yourself I'd nearly guarantee the parts are easily available through RS or similar.

I'd imagine once apart it will be easy enough to sort out a new led or whatever it uses.

Their usually quite reliable, mine had lasted since 1996 so it hadn't done bad really.

mine was this

http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/5361401/

an 8 pin chip.

basically i looked at the circuit to the led's and traced it back to that chip, put 12v on the gauge and 12v on the light circuit and i had 12v going into the chip, but nothing coming out.

HTH mate.
