Default 2wd rack ?

Is a Cossie rack actually any different from a normal Sierra ?

I have just a regular one on my car and it's about 2.5 turns lock to lock.

Is the Cossie less turns than this ?

As far as I know it's quicker than a standard Sierra, and a twat to find a replacement. Had to get mine rebuilt when the seals went.

My rack is a bog standard PAS Sierra rack, bought as a recon from a local supplier a few years ago and is 2.5 turns.
It is not a Cossie rack, hence my query.

The only difference is the Cossie one has restrictors fixed in the end of the rack to stop the wider wheels catching the suspension.

This gives less turns lock to lock, but it actually just makes the turning circle bigger.

If you need a replacement cossie rack buy a standard one and refit the restrictors.

I dont need a replacement, was just curious as to the difference between them and if it might be worth seeking one..

Good to know there is no difference worth wanting one. Sounds like they would be worse then with less lock !

That would be impossible, as neither the rack or pump knows what speed the car is travelling.
