Is there an alternative pump to the 044 in performance terms that is quieter?

Just got a swirl pot etc for the focus just need pump now but from cosworth experience the 044 ain't that quiet.

Its all going to be boot mounted that's why i ask.

 

no way you can mount it under the boot or under the bumper Lee, saves it being in the boot.

 

i could possibly get the pump underneath dave but not sure about swirl pot, if there's no decent alternative's ill just get an 044 and do it that way.

what about Harveys kit for the big powered escorts,they bolt on underneth next to the beam then the 044 fires the fuel in.

have to do a search on here for a look at one.

 

The pumps not really the problem, make sure its in the neoprene sleeve and if possible rubber mounted(bobbins) to body rather than solid.
If it has to be inside the cabin maybe a cover could be made?

 

Ive used plenty of 044's and the noise as never been a problem.

Mount them properly and softly and once the engine is running you will barely hear it. In fact you shouldnt hear it at all.

The Sytec mount is quite nice
