Need help urgently!

While checking the cooling fluid in the micra before we made a trip down to worthing today I tapped the tank and my finger went straight through the goddam thing!!!

Now I'm calling and calling to find somewhere that sells one but no one is open or no one stocks the part.

Problem is the Mrs needs the car up and running again by Tuesday morning for deliveries!

dunno if its any help but if u have a local racetrack [bangers etc ] they use these in juniors might be worth a phone call they would have one

a micra will be ok without expansion tank, you could make 1 up out of a bottle if needed, the rad fills from the top, the expansion bottle is not under pressure

As above, i take it the hole is towards the top where you tapped it, will be fine as it is, even if you just put a bit gaffer tape or something over the hole until you can get another sorted, there is a vent in the top of the bottle anyway next to the cap.

Euro car parts wont stock one anyway as its a jap car, unless they now supply for all makes.

Yeah the hole is in the top, and I knew there was some sort of vent on it, didn't realise it was just a hole.

So far so good, the water isn't vanishing into a cloud of steam yet.
