Spiky chill man its was 95% ford and the reason for the 5% was due to early booking slipping through and i have ripped the piss out of whitey for it

tbh i wasnt impressed when it came on the boards ford only and i didnt think it would be busy without other stuff but it worked so thats for me

Plenty of other track days for all makes and models though isn't there? It is Ford Fair, not "Every Other Make of Car Fair"

Apart from the GTR/370Z and Exiges, which were all Silverstone cars, I saw very few non-Fords on track.

I think it was a good thing myself.

i'm not disagreeing with the idea,

i'm disagreeing with the fact that it was "supposed" to be FORD ONLY yet other make made it on there?

The reasons have been explained though, they decided to honour the early bookings. I think it would have caused more upset to tell those people they couldn't do it.

It was a tiny handful from what I saw to be fair, so hardly worth worrying about!

Was always supposed to be Ford only mate. A mix up early doors meant some slipped through and booked.

We discussed it about what action was best to take. Either refund or allow...in the end we decided that nobody else would slip the net with a non-Ford but those who had, we would honour and allow out, it wasn't their fault.

But yep, tracktime sold out very early, as predicted and the couple of non-ford owners complaining, is nothing like the amount of Ford owners who have in previous years when they can't get out, but see Evo's, Scooby's etc etc out on track, using "their" tracktime up.

Sorry mate, but trust me, i am pretty certain there was only say 5-6 non-fords out as far as i know all day....Silverstones GTR's etc excluded.

Aye mate, had to really....kills me not driving stuff. :-D

Just took it easy really, was building trust in my brakes so tip-toed around and was nursing my raped clutch...was fun though, felt it was worth it just to let folk hear it. It has potential to be a wicked track car. But i must stay strong and not allow that, it's my road car.

I'll be conservative and say 250

I'd have had a play but i had to train my mind to be steady before going out and leave my ego in my kit bag. Didn't wanna get drawn into my usual arsing about or head to heads....was difficult to behave!

Clutch was hanging so i was having to be gentle and feather the throttle to keep slip at bay, anytime i stuck the boot down, it just slipped, brakes i had no faith in at first but they was ok....i just braked far earlier than i would have liked, and i was just rocking A539 street rubber, didn't even check pressures, just checked fluids and ran how i ran on the road. If i had a fresh clutch, i would have done some rolling burnouts for the crack

Turbo will be back soon, and ideally not totally hanging, so we can have a muck about in that, i trust that more....life feels fragile in the Mk1
