Christ I think I did in about £140 in fuel over the weekend, but that does include quite a few bursts of the throttle and the sat nav taking me around random exits away from Silverstone

I think I did all of about £15 and change as I forgot to takethe recipt with me when I filled up yesterday evening

But I did have the ac on all the time and the little piddly engine had to lug around at least 100 kgs more than it was meant to carry on a day to day basis . Also, the return journey was 13 miles shorter and took the same time.

It took me ages to get out yesterday, took longer getting in though. Didn't do too bad on fuel, only ran up to 9psi of boost tough, but did give it some. Nearly 380 miles to £60 of £1.42 a litre of super.

Was hard to get out but was good to catch up with a few people in the queue as they walked past. The M5 did just over 500 miles and consumed £130 of juice. Mind you, she did get all the way home in 2hrs 20mins once we hit the Mway..

Lee, Carlos, Mat.....

On way home the boost solenoid pipe popped off resulting in a massive amount of boost...... Melted 2 plugs, at least 1 piston and blew the entire contents of the cooling system out in about 2 seconds.... Terminal I recon

In 7 days I'm going to be enroute to Nurburgring for 5 days.... Project new build starts tonight deadline saturday night so I can get a few miles on the clock sunday ready for the 7.20am ferry from Dover...!!!!

Fortunatly I have a brand new complete engine in the garage in semi kit form so gotta get the bottom end stripped for a rebore (Cosworth only make FRS pistons in .5mm oversize) then build it thursday night ready for fitting friday/saturday.....

Failing that I'm going in the wifes 1.6 Auto Focus.....

On the plus side.....

the Focus RS only track session at 2.40pm the car was flying...

Plus the pipe could've come off then and made a mess on track or worse still let go on an Autobahn at 160mph.....
