Finally got mine piped up an gassed and all I can say is wow!!! For such an old system it's very effective. I've used an Escos compressor with an std Sierra dryer and an MG ZS180 condenser... It works very well Now ready to Europe!

 

How much did it cost for the bits Martin? Enticing upgrade in this weather.

Is your Sierra Standard rad and intercooler?

did you cut and shut the ally pipes to get the condenser to fit?

the secret to good performance is good condensing performance and a modern one like that would be so much better than the old ford one.

how much refrigerant did you put in, and how did you know how much to use?

crazy glenn get it back in,not hard to repair them! I wouldn't be without mine as I only use it in the summer on warm days so it's invaluble!

the cosworths I've bought in italy had a/c and it was a pretty good system, never seen a uk 3 door with a/c though.

 

there were a handful of 3drs that had a dealer fit sytem installed, and 2 RS500s had it from new as well.

 

Yes, thats what aircon does.
