got my mk1 cosworth mapped @ gsmotosport ( joe ) when i got the car it was running 20psi on stage 1, was also getting so hot, got joe to map it, its now runnig 14psi and its flying pulls @ any rpm getting lots more mpg and it runs cool so happy

Any reason in particular why the boost was turned down so low rather than keeping it at 20psi if it was only a bad map causing the car to run hot?
Not a lot of boost to be running on a yb!

PS. The engine is alot more efficient now so thats why no excess heat is being generated.

It was running 20psi, it was laggy like hell and the engine was creating alot more heat as it wasnt running efficient at all. The direability was near enough nil. It was fine flat out, but no torque what so ever down below. Now it runs very efficiently with loads of torque thoughout the rev range. And btw, its not boost that makes the car fast, its all about torque.
PS. The engine is alot more efficient now so thats why no excess heat is being generated.

No reason why it would be less laggy setup to run less boost?!

Everyone here is stabbing in the dark, 20psi on standard injectors, I'm surprised its in one bit to start, the chip may have had no ignition timing making it very flat and very hot for example
1bar boost is tops for standard injectors really and will be around 270bhp so your 280 isn't far out

i think maybe was over boosting but didnt feel good BUT now its just flying im not a mapper but i drove it before and arter
