on a P4 3.2 with HT

whats the max temp before I need a new pc?

your mobo should switch ur pc off if it gets to hot before any damage

is 75 degree c too hot?

has the pc slowed down at all


asus is one of the best money can buy, i wdnt build pc without as asus mobo

it should have high cpu temp cutoff

It all depends if the CPU Temp power-off feature is enabled in the bios.. 75 is far too hot, you want it to be around 40 degrees when idle - try leaning the dust out of the fans

I got my AMDXP2800 overclocked to f**k!!

Its running at 73 degrees C!

Just a matter of time now....

well its run all day and stablised at 75 degrees C

the fan was on and off at 1st but now its sitting at the same speed

strang things computers!

lol my amd athalon thunderbird used to run at around 95 degrees c coz id clocked it by 200 MHz and not uprated the heat sink and fan, after the wiring melted on the fan i upgraded to the beast its got on now has a 72mm directional fan and the heat sink is huge runs at around 40 degrees c now
