Who's ever been done for speeding by undercover Police on a motorway? Few questions..
A few quick questions to settle an argument and generally try and work a few things out...
When you were done, was the police car in front of you or behind?
Were you travelling with a convoy of cars all doing the same speed/speeding?
And how long were you being followed for at that speed before you were pulled over?
Cheers!

When you were done, was the police car in front of you or behind? M6 Toll. Was behind me. Started out quite a way back, but soon caught up
Were you travelling with a convoy of cars all doing the same speed/speeding? Nope, was just little old me.....
And how long were you being followed for at that speed before you were pulled over? About 5 or 6 minutes. I thought it was some sales rep being a dick tbh!

Followed for a while by a undercover Omega. Was behind me. No idea for how long, as I'd have bloody well slowed down if I'd have seen it! Was with a few speeding cars, but as they pulled over, I shot off and so earmarked myself as the one to be tugged!
When you're pulled from behind it's more often than not VASCAR, which is also allowed to be done from the front. Oddly VASCAR doesn't need Type Approval like other forms of speed detection.

Any wY you can't get done by them unless there behind you they can't do you if there in front cos it means if they do you for speeding then they were speeding to and obviously that would never hold up in court lol!!

I see , when I got done for speeding there were no White marks on the road, that I noticed? She told me that she followed me at 87 miles per hour for 3 miles , didn't no that! But still it Dosnt seem fair to do you if they are in front as they must of been speeding to

Have you been caught speeding simon?
Calum who helped me build the car was caught week before last on his ducati 748, he was in a little convoy on the A22.. the police car had to do 135mph to get near them = I think hes fucked!! Undercover car came past them to try and stop them all at the next roundabout but calum and a few others didnt stop and turned off before getting to them.
Then the letter dropped through the door!!
It even made bbc news apparently!

I got caught on my gsxr by an undercover cop on a gsxr also, wearing race leathers and a hoodie on over the top!! To say he was out goding riders is a fookin understatement! I got 3 points and a fine! Cops round my way also use orange focus st's and i saw a blue evo 9 also. This is what they have resorted to, making people speed so they can nick them! Tossers!!

3) Didn't seem that long, but it doesn't usually at 100mph

Kent police are tossers, undercover vxr's, st's and golf r32s. They deliberately tailgate people in 'fast' cars to piss them off and make them put their foot down. I've seen it done, and know people it's happened too, surely it should be illegal, especially given how dangerously some of the police drive!

lol at the dickhead saying all Police cars start with such and such a reg. Well of course they do as they all have a modern prefix local to that area. LIKE ALL OTHER CARS!
#25
what does the highway code say about dealing with tailgaters??
oh yeah it does NOT say speed up and break the speed limit does it
exactly plus its quite likely the local force will have a contract to supply vehicles from one dealer via the preferential manufacturer so of course they would have same prefix.

i think we need lots MORE undercover cop cars.
Its simple really, people behave when they know the cops are around hence they wont catch anyone in marked cars.
hence you need undercover cars.
BUT
the police need to refocus their efforts from revenue earning policing eg minor speeding to refocus it on the kind of antisocial driving that creates the most hazards and actually causes the majority of problems on our main roads, such as tailgating, swerving between lanes, not using indicators, middle lane morons, etc etc etc.
legislation exists to allow them to prosecute all those bad drivers albeit it isnt as simple as a FPN for speeding. Lots of them require careless driving or dangerous driving which requires different balance of proof and evidence plus often ends up in court where as most FPN's for speeding dont.
mght cost more money in policing and prosecution but those are the drivers who cause more accidents, hold up the motorways and generally cause the most carnage.

Warren the police need to concentrate on getting the more important parts of their job correct first like catching real criminals. Rapists, Murderers, Pedophiles etc etc.
Problem is they dont make any money from doing that which is why they concentrate on speeding vehicles.
Its bollocks. How many years has the speed limit been 30 and 70?
Technological advances in car safety, Braking, etc etc have been massive but no increase in the speed limit!

your missing the point.
traffic cops are tasked to mostly do traffic work. Only recently are some used for other major crime work. so no you cannot use the arguement that the traffic cops should be focusing on other crimes as thats not their job
but they should be focusing like i said on the real traffic crimes that cause real problems. minor speeding is not one of those.

again cal your missng the point. Those traffic cops are tasked with traffic related duties. their job is not to go hunting pedo's.
And with pedo's you could throw Ł100 million at the police on that issue and it would make little difference as their hands are tied by the pathetic laws of this country and the human rights of criminals.
Technically its everyones human rights but being a government agency they have to be seen protecting the human rights of the public they deal with, who most of the time in custody are generally criminals hence protecting criminal human rights.

on a seperate note that anger based blame reaction is precisely why our legal and insurance systems are sooo fucked up by no win no fee bollocks. they pander to your anger.
although i would love someone to brake test a tailgating copper so the copper has to explain in court why he was driving dangerously close to the rear of a vehicle and hence hit him. Would prove a point nicely i think.

ahhh like many other victims of crime or victims of "accidents" etc. why not blame the real person responsible.

exactly. As said earlier, the highway code does not say speed up if your being tailgated, it says the exact opposite. You should reduce speed and open the gap in front.....

no im not in the police
i just know enough about the system to know it doesnt work like a lot of people think. eg registered sex offenders number 32000, actual number of paedos in the uk suspected to be near 300000.
Its not practical to have full time supervision of all registered offenders let alone suspected ones.....
