Default Quickshift for 2wd cossie T5?

What's available in the way of quickshifts for the T5 gearbox please? Had a look on ebay but can only find the Burton one, do b&m not do one?

If so, where from etc?

Also, what are they like to use?

Thanks, Karl

I have had no experience myself as I was advised to stay away from them with the T5, I seem to recall it being something to do possible to change gear before the synchro mesh had time to engage ( I think).

I just cut my gear stick down and put a different gearnob on feels loads better to me and less of a long throw.

Thanks for the replies mate,i'm putting a dog box in very soon so synchros won't be a problem but i've been advised to get a quickshift for it.

I've looked about but can only find the burton one, there must be others lol

oh right I see then in that case as you have already said you should have no synchro issues, I'm sure b&m do one or did one for the T5

I was always told never to use a quick shift as it causes baulking as the box simply can't cope with quicker shifting. I did have it explained to me by Bernie once but not having a Cossie I've since forgotten most of what he said

On a std cossie 2wd T5, it is easily possible to beat the synchro so a quick shift merely cuts down on movement needed, not speed of change.
I cut the lever on my box and repositioned it forward about 1 1/2", as found it to far back for my liking.
